This blog is intended to be a mental space where I can share thoughts with friends old and new, far and wide, on the wonder and complexity of life. Thinkers, feelers, lovers, questioners, doubters, and believers are invited to stop in. I beam out from my library-study on the ascending base of the McDowell Mountains on the eastern fringe of the Phoenix metropolitan area in Arizona where most days the sky is a burning blue and the cactus outside are drenched in sunshine. Hope to hear from you!

Hey Jeanne, I agree! what a night for engaging in Future Consciousness! I'll subscribe to your blog and check back! Best, Jonathon
Well let me be the first, [dang, the 2nd], to reply, Jeanne! Although I am "less than ecstatic, I will be optimistic. Let's see what Obama and the Congress can do in the next 4 years. I have decided he will be either very very good, or a disaster...he doesn't look like an in-between kind of man...I am smiling at how happy you and all the others in the same camp with you are today. I remember the feeling from 8 & 4 years ago when Bush won. Hope we can stop the name calling, too, going forward...or now might be nice!

Hello Jeanne,
Great picture of the library and great picture of you in Jerome. The question is whether the mega-forces that move the world - that move the country - can be guided in a new direction. At least we elected an intellectual for the President.

Right on Jeanne! Love what you've written. After the wonderful election results, I feel like I've just been released from prison and am embarking on a new journey. Glad you're blogging. Greetings from the left coast. Linnea
